K-12 students: Share what you are saving for and win some cool prizes!

The US Treasury Department is encouraging K-12 students toshare what they are saving for in a photo and video essay contest. Whether it’s for a baseball glove, a car, orcollege education, students of all ages have a reason to save.  
What: The Ready.Save.Grow. “Save Out Loud” Contest is opento students in grades K – 12.  Inaddition, the contest is open to school classrooms, if a teacher would like tosubmit on behalf of teams of up to six students.  Prizes will be awarded for best photo andvideo in each of the following grade categories: Grades K-6 and grades 7-12.
How to Enter: Students have two ways to enter the “Save Out Loud”Contest:
Photo: Submit an aspirational savings snapshot along with adescription of up to 250 words. (JPEG, JPG and GIF formats are supported.) 
Video: Submit a 90 seconds or less personal video sharing asavings story. (WMV, FLV, MP4, MOV, MPEG, 3GP, 3G2 and AVI formats aresupported.)
Photos and videos will be uploaded via Facebook at www.facebook.com/readysavegrow.
Submission Closes November 25Ends: Nov 25, 2012 8:00 PM PST
Winners announced:Dec 10, 2012 09:00 AM EST
Grand Prize Winnerswill be selected by a panel of judges. In addition, Popular Vote Winners willbe selected by public votes and will win commemorative Treasury Departmentprizes. Entries should be original, creative and support the concept of saving.
